A Formica fusca antecedents in a Small Pioneer Habitat Setup – Day 280 [HD]
Visit us at www.AntsCanada.com for these and other great setups for your pet ant colonies! Formica fusca was the feature ant species in our first AntsCanada Membership Video so we decided to create this video on a sample colony in an ideal setup. The ants can be heated (optional) by way of a heating cable, heating pad, lamp, etc on one isolated section of the nest, but remember that heating will almost always cause increased condensation which hinders viewing somewhat. The queens may or may not raise a few workers before hibernating, but the bulk of egg laying begins in the Spring. Hibernating these queens is highly recommended! They feed on insects and honey/sugar water and are a very active diurnal species. They are quick moving and are a medium sized ant which makes for great and entertaining observation! We highly recommend this ant species to any ant keeper!

How to ascendancy circuit back actuality hoisted out of or into a helicopter. Thanks Ant for the words
Controlling spin when hoisted into or out of a helicopter. The helicopter's downwash can be thought of in two separate parts, 'whirlpool' (the cyclic, horizontal factor) and downwash (the vertical factor) The effect is greatest roughly 5 -- 10m underneath the aircraft, and decreases thereafter, depending on cross-winds. Cross-winds, even small, blow the downdraft at an angle away from directly below the aircraft, decreasing the range in which a jockey will experience downwash. A problem with relying on these methods, is that if you start a spin, and are then lowered out of the range of the downwash, these phenomena disappear and you lose the control to either decrease or increase the rate of spin. (It is in this case that the 'propeller hands' would be the next best option -- see below) Whirlpool: The downwash of the aircraft comes down in a cyclic motion, in the same direction as the rotors turn. On Skymed the whirlpool naturally induces a leftwards spin (anti-clock). On an Oryx, the opposite applies. I write in the Skymed context: One can turn left by extending your arms and legs outwards, or 'getting more traction on the whirlpool'. To avoid a left-wards spin, get small, or adopt a 'pin-drop' position as close to the centre of the cable as possible. Downwash: Vertical downwash should not induce spin, but depending on the orientation and shape of the jockey or load, the load can act like a sail or propeller, and use vertical downwash to induce horizontal spin. To induce ...
